Hi all Recently was give a hw-j450 sound bar and wireless subwoofer. Has worked great until today. If you are using a separate home theater, surround sound, or sound bar with your television, be sure to check the volume and mute on that device, as well. I own a Samsung HT-E6500W with Blu-Ray Player System. I had the sound bar for 3 weeks before my cable was set up. I understand that the surround sound doesn't always have voices that come out … I wanted to us it with HDMI ARC, managed to set it up fine. When the tv is on with the bar off the audio plays fine. You want to be sure the TV is not muted. There is some random cutting in and out of the sound. THe sound kept cutting out along with the display if the main unit but the DVD would carry on playing. Just got this Soundbar about a week ago. When watching video via HDMI from my U-verse receiver, Netflix through the HTIB, or via optical in from an Apple TV, the sound randomly drops out for 1-3+ seconds, making viewing a frustrating experience, to say the least. We had a sound bar, and we figured out that was the problem. i could just be listening to music, playing games, or watching a movies. If I'm not watching something in that configuration (ie, noise is still coming from all speakers; it's just not in 5.1) I can turn the volume up as high as I want, and nothing happens. Thing 1, updated my Samsung Smart TV to latest firmware which just came out. On Sunday my brand new Samsung surround sound decided to keep playing up. I've been having the constant cutting out as many other have, where the sub/system seems to cut out briefly every few minutes. does it at all levels. We had not had this new T.V. Here is my setup. The audio keeps cutting in and out when it’s on. Sound bar work flawlessly. Make sure the sound on your TV isn't muted. Very frustrating. so i went back and exchanged it for a new one and the other one does the same thing. even the sub. The sound is great when everything is working. Scoured the net for solutions, but found none. I had to turn it off and on then it worked again until it happened again. Then I moved the sub and I haven't had an issue since. It still somewhat plays, but gets very quiet and then will go back to normal sound or will sound like it loses the surround sound aspect of it. I moved the modem with little change. doesn't matter what level of sound its at. The audio just drops out for a second or two then comes back, does this constantly.
